Becker

The Becker Avionics success-story starts in 1956. At the edge of an airfield in Baden-Baden in the South-Western part of the young Federal Republic of Germany, the company Becker Flugfunk GmbH is founded by one of those legendary and charismatic entrepreneurs that shaped postwar Germany.

The company’s founder, Max-Egon Becker, along with Max Grundig, Helmut Horten and Josef Neckermann, is amongst the pioneers of the German economic miracle of the Fifties and Sixties. His passion for aviation and his flair for revolutionary technical solutions identify the corporate culture right from the beginning. In touch with the everyday practice of avia-tion, the young corporation writes important chapters in the history of avionics. Compact architecture, extraordinary robustness and energy saving electronics, made possible by the extensive use of semi-conductors; characterize the devices marked with the blue Becker brand.
