Any selected music source’s volume can be controlled by pulling out the intercom volume/squelch knob. If connecting a GPSMAP 396/496 to the GMA 240, you can adjust the XM music volume directly from the GMA 240. And the multifunction phone/audio mini jack on the front lets you route cell phone calls or iPod/MP3/XM Radio players right through your aircraft headset — with selectable instant muting when radio transmissions are received from ATC.

Listen in Virtual 3-D

Advanced processing in the GMA 350 adjusts audio in the headset to mimic how the human ear normally hears and registers sounds in space. 3-D Audio makes it seem like different audio sources are coming from different directions, making it easier to distinguish one source from many. For example, COMM 1 will seem like it's coming from the left while COMM 2 will seem like it's coming from the right.

Distribute Audio in the Cockpit

The GMA 350 makes in-flight entertainment easy. Permanently wire 2 dedicated input sources into the rear connectors, such as an XM receiver and an auxiliary music device. Advanced Auto Squelch & Automatic Volume Control

Advanced auto squelch automatically adapts to a quiet or noisy cockpit without clipping words or cutting out in the middle of phrases. An internal microphone also senses ambient noise and adjusts the cockpit speaker volume level accordingly. The system analyzes ambient noise level and adjusts volumes for the headsets (when configured to do so at the time of installation), making alerts quieter when you're on the ground.

Advanced Features

A split COMM mode lets the pilot and copilot broadcast on independent frequencies. The automatic digital voice recorder continuously captures the last 2.5 minutes of audio for playback, so you can go back and listen if you miss an ATC call or frequency assignment.

The GNC 255 is available with either 10 W or 16 W of transmitter output, letting you find the right balance of power and price. Reduce Your Workload

In addition to traditional Nav/Comm features, the GNC 255 incorporates a number of functions that can save you time and effort. Provide the GNC 255 with an airport or navaid identifier and it will automatically find all available frequencies (and vice versa) thanks to a built-in, updateable database. With a compatible GPS input, the device will find the nearest airport to your location and easily access its weather, center and FSS frequencies. You'll have the confidence to know you're talking to the right controller every time. The Nav/Comm's database technology also allows you to quickly pull up your most frequently or most recently used frequencies. The GNC 255 will provide distance, time and speed when installed with a compatible GPS source like Garmin's GTN or GNS series avionics. All information is displayed on a bright sunlight-readable display so you can quickly read it all at a glance. And when paired with a G500, G500H, G600 or G3X flight display, it allows for the display of VOR and ILS indications on the PFD and can follow autopilot commands. Alternatively, you can use an HSI or CDI like our MD200-306, which has been specifically designed to work with the GNC 255.

With the standby frequency-monitoring feature in the GNC 255, you won’t have to worry about missing an ATC call or other critical transmission. The GNC 255 allows you to listen to ATIS without leaving your assigned ATC channel. Swapping your active and standby frequencies is done with a single touch of a button. Pressing and holding frequency transfer key will automatically set the emergency frequency as your active radio. You can use the built-in timer to assist with approaches, holds and other assigned maneuvers.

When you load procedures, the GTN will preload NAV frequencies for you to manually switch to and can auto select the VHF NAV source for ILS approaches. In addition, precise course deviation and roll steering outputs can be coupled to select autopilots so that IFR flight procedures may be flown automatically. This includes all ARINC 424 leg types, except RF legs. (For example, when coupled with a G500/G600 Flight Display, the aircraft can fly fully coupled missed approaches, including heading legs.)

A fully certified, 2,280-channel VHF communications transceiver provides a standard 10 W (or optional 16 W) of power output. Both units contain an integral resolver for OBS feedback. The GI 102A and GI 106A units also feature anti-reflective lenses and are backlit.

Deadly Carbon Monoxide (CO) is produced wherever fossil fuels (such as gasoline, kerosene, diesel, natural gas, and propane) are combusted without sufficient oxygen.

Connecting to external GPS source:

There are three basic ways to connect Oudie to the GPS source. You can choose which option you would like to use thorugh Menu > Settings > Input dialog in SeeYou Mobile.

1. Built-in GPS

The built-in GPS in Oudie is always on COM 1 > 4800bps. You can setup the Oudie to use internal GPS by selecting Menu > Settings > Input > Internal GPS

2. Serial cable connection to external GPS source

The supplied Serial data cable and converters enable you to connect to external data source such as your Variometer, Flight data recorder, anti-collision device or similar. You should always use COM 4 on Oudie for this type of connection.

The supplied Data/Power cable has a RJ45 connector by default with standard IGC pinout. Several converters are included in the box which enable you to connect to flight recorders with RJ12 or DB9 connectors. Special cables are also available as an accessory for a very simple direct connection to selected flight recorders such as LX 7007, CAI 302, LX 1600 etc.

3. Bluetooth

Another way to receive external data is to connect through Bluetooth. Go to Menu > Settings > Input > Bluetooth to pair Bluetooth device with Oudie.
K6 Bluetooth device has a special protocol which enables even more features than the standard Bluetooth protocol. It is fully supported in Oudie.

Cables and Converters:

Oudie is delivered with a variety of cables and converters which enable you to connect Oudie to your almost any logger "out of the box":

1. Power and data cable

It provides power to Oudie and (optionally) to the device which is connected to the RJ45 connector. It has three connectors:

. mini USB connector must be connected to Oudie

. black and red cable must be connected to 12V power supply (red is 12V, black is ground).
. RJ45 connector with standard IGC pinout

Use directly with these devices: Swiss Flarm, Volkslogger, K6 Mux, VW1150

2. RJ 45 Female/Female Gender Changer 

This connector can be used for extending the 8-wires cable using another RJ45 connector (for example ethernet cable). It can also be used to connect RJ12 connector with 6-wires cable which can be used for data communication with Colibri, LX 20/2000, MiniBox, RedBox and other devices using RJ12 connectors.

3. 20 cm cable extension with male RJ12 connectors

This is an extension cable which can be used for both power and data transmission between Oudie and connected device. It must be used together with RJ45 Gender Changer. Use RJ45 Gender Changer and RJ12 cable extension directly with these devices: Colibri, LX 20/2000, MiniBox, RedBox

4. RJ45->DB9 Male and Female converters

This is a "do-it-yourself" DB9 converter. The converter pinout is free. You can pin any wire from the RJ45 connector to any pin on the DB9 connector. Typical use:
. LX 5000, LX 7000, Standard RS 232
. LX 160 (NOT the "si" version - see the warning below)
. Zander/SDI GP940 and GP941

WARNING: If you are attempting to connect to devices which provide 5V on any of the pins please make absolutely sure that the pin where the other device provides 5V is not connected to the White or Brown wires (pins 1 and 2 on RJ45). This will cause collision and possibly damage to both connected devices! Take particular care when connecting the following devices: Cambridge 302, LX 7007, LX 1600, LX160si and others with built-in 12->5V converter.

The following cables are not included in the box, but are available as chargeable optional extras:

. CAI 302 / Zander ZS1 (when used with Rotary Switch) / Baumi Cable

Connects all models of Cambridge 302 with Oudie. This is a direct cable from CAI to Oudie which provides both power and data communication between Oudie and CAI 302. The same cable can be used also with Zander ZS1 when connected to the Zander Rotary Switch. It can also be used with a Baumi converter.

. LX Cable

Connects LX 7007, LX 1600, LX 160 si with Oudie. This is a direct cable from LX devices to Oudie which provides both power and data communication between Oudie and LX instruments.

Please note that these cables use 5V power for charging the Oudie. For this reason please make sure you do not use these cables in any other setup than the one recommended by the manual otherwise you risk damage on either Oudie or connected device.

Upgrading the Firmware:

Upgrading the firmware on the Oudie is as simple as downloading one file from www.naviter.com, saving it in the root of your Oudie's Resident Flash memory and resetting the Oudie.

If you need more instructions this is the whole procedure:

1. Download the Update executable from www.naviter.com to your PC (or directly to Oudie, then skip to #5):

2. Connect your Oudie with PC using the USB cable which was supplied in the box

3. Once connected, tap "Connect to PC" or the USB Stick icon on Oudie

4. You should now see Oudie as an external Mass Storage drive on your PC (named TFAT)

5. Copy UpdateOudie.exe to the root of your Oudie device

6. Reset Oudie or press and hold the On/Off key for 1 second and select "Power off". Then power it back on by holding the button for another second.

7. Wait until it boots into an Update dialog box

8. Press "Update" and wait until the process is finished

9. Reboot the Oudie one more time, then it is updated.

Copying files to Oudie:

Copying files to Oudie is exactly that. If your Waypoint and Airspace files are already in a format which is recognized by SeeYou Mobile, then all you need to do is copy them over and select to use them through Menu > Settings > Files.

If you have prepared your files in SeeYou, then you can also used the Mobile Wizard which is built into SeeYou already.

First page of the Mobile wizard allows you to select the Items you wish to transfer to the device.

Second page gives you the possibility to select basename and destination folder for the data you have selected to upload on the first page. For Oudie choose "Copy to my Computer" as the destination for your files.

Third page asks you to draw a rectangle for the area you want to transfer to

Fourth page shows progress in transferring or saving your files.

Starting with the Butterfly Vario, Butterfly launches a whole new range of gliding products. Butterfly vario combines basic navigation, Butterfly display functionality as well as many other features with a new technology variometer, based on current research projects and latest sensor technology. It communicates with moving-map solutions and can be easily integrated into existing cockpit layouts.

A new generation variometer

With a combination of 14 sensors, the relative air-mass movement arround the aircraft is measured in real time. This means big progress compared to normal variometers, that only use pressure sensors to sense aircraft/airmass movement. Independant of flight direction the pilot sees real time air-mass and wind data updated repeatedly every second. In many flight-tests through 2011 pre-production devices have already shown the potential of this new technology.

Giant display, easy to install

A new design concept integrates a device with big 2.7“ display into a small 57mm standard instrument cutout. The perfectly readable display features a contrast ratio similar to printed paper. It is readable in any lighting condition and supersedes mechanical pointers. 

More than just a vario

Butterfly Vario combines Vario/Speedcommand, basic Backup-Navigation with final-glide calculation, a digital compass, Butterfly FLARM®-Radar with FLARM®-voice output, a robust artificial horizon with true airspeed and true altitude with many other features that simplify flying. It will incorporate a fully certified IGC-flight-recorder ("triadis RU3"), which is currently being tested by IGC for approval.

Traffic presentation

In contrast to normal FLARM® displays or FLARM® devices, Butterfly Displays show the complete traffic picture i.e. the overall traffic situation is shown and not just the next aircraft.

If there is no danger (a normal FLARM® device would not provide a warning) the surrounding traffic is shown in a radar format.

Operation

Basically, Butterfly Displays require little handling. A turning knob serves as an operating device. The knob is intentionally rather large, its haptics are appealing, and it is easy to operate even with gloves or in turbulence. Besides having a turning function, the front knob can also be pushed.

Radar display

Each traffic participant is symbolized by a small arrow or circle. Arrows symbolize aircrafts flying straight-in, blue circles symbolize turning gliders. The front knob is used to select traffic participants on the screen (green marking). The page on the selected aircraft also provides detailed information such as the difference in altitude, climb rates, identification and distance.

The back turning knob allows you to adjust the zoom factor on the radar screen. Three different enlargements and one list view of traffic sorted by distance are available.

The push button is used to display detailed information on traffic participants or access the settings menu. If a selected traffic participant has an entry in FlarmNet, pushing the turning knob will disply the details.

Climb rates

Butterfly Displays evaluate several parameters of the traffic received. Amongst other things, they calculate exact climb rates for each aircraft received and filter these continuously. This provides reliable information on thermal quality in the surroundings of circling aircrafts.

Circle recognition

Aircraft which circle are highlighted separately in the radar view. This facilitates differentiating between tactically important traffic (climbing aircrafts) and others at all times. To facilitate the identification of aircrafts, the direction of circling is also indicated.

Features for team-flying

To make it easier to recognize team partners, it is possible to mark these with a different colour (orange). This allows you to keep an eye on the team partner's position, even in situations with a high volume of traffic (in competitions prior to take-off). Especially in team flying, Butterfly Displays can provide great assistance, for example in situations in which the team partner is in the blind spot.

FlarmNet

Butterfly Displays have an integrated FlarmNet database and are thus able to display information on registered aircraft. You can retrieve the stored FlarmNet information with one simple push of the button.

Collision warning

Traffic presentation

In contrast to normal FLARM® displays or FLARM® devices, Butterfly Displays show the complete traffic picture i.e. the overall traffic situation is shown and not just the next aircraft.

If there is no danger (a normal FLARM® device would not provide a warning) the surrounding traffic is shown in a radar format.

Operation

Basically, Butterfly Displays require little handling. A turning knob serves as an operating device. The knob is intentionally rather large, its haptics are appealing, and it is easy to operate even with gloves or in turbulence. Besides having a turning function, the front knob can also be pushed.

Radar display

Each traffic participant is symbolized by a small arrow or circle. Arrows symbolize aircrafts flying straight-in, blue circles symbolize turning gliders. The front knob is used to select traffic participants on the screen (green marking). The page on the selected aircraft also provides detailed information such as the difference in altitude, climb rates, identification and distance.

The back turning knob allows you to adjust the zoom factor on the radar screen. Three different enlargements and one list view of traffic sorted by distance are available.

The push button is used to display detailed information on traffic participants or access the settings menu. If a selected traffic participant has an entry in FlarmNet, pushing the turning knob will disply the details.

Climb rates

Butterfly Displays evaluate several parameters of the traffic received. Amongst other things, they calculate exact climb rates for each aircraft received and filter these continuously. This provides reliable information on thermal quality in the surroundings of circling aircrafts.

Circle recognition

Aircraft which circle are highlighted separately in the radar view. This facilitates differentiating between tactically important traffic (climbing aircrafts) and others at all times. To facilitate the identification of aircrafts, the direction of circling is also indicated.

Features for team-flying

To make it easier to recognize team partners, it is possible to mark these with a different colour (orange). This allows you to keep an eye on the team partner's position, even in situations with a high volume of traffic (in competitions prior to take-off). Especially in team flying, Butterfly Displays can provide great assistance, for example in situations in which the team partner is in the blind spot.

FlarmNet

Butterfly Displays have an integrated FlarmNet database and are thus able to display information on registered aircraft. You can retrieve the stored FlarmNet information with one simple push of the button.

Starting with the Butterfly Vario, Butterfly launches a whole new range of gliding products. Butterfly vario combines basic navigation, Butterfly display functionality as well as many other features with a new technology variometer, based on current research projects and latest sensor technology. It communicates with moving-map solutions and can be easily integrated into existing cockpit layouts.

A new generation variometer

With a combination of 14 sensors, the relative air-mass movement arround the aircraft is measured in real time. This means big progress compared to normal variometers, that only use pressure sensors to sense aircraft/airmass movement. Independant of flight direction the pilot sees real time air-mass and wind data updated repeatedly every second. In many flight-tests through 2011 pre-production devices have already shown the potential of this new technology.

Giant display, easy to install

A new design concept integrates a device with big 2.7“ display into a small 57mm standard instrument cutout. The perfectly readable display features a contrast ratio similar to printed paper. It is readable in any lighting condition and supersedes mechanical pointers. 

More than just a vario

Butterfly Vario combines Vario/Speedcommand, basic Backup-Navigation with final-glide calculation, a digital compass, Butterfly FLARM®-Radar with FLARM®-voice output, a robust artificial horizon with true airspeed and true altitude with many other features that simplify flying. It will incorporate a fully certified IGC-flight-recorder ("triadis RU3"), which is currently being tested by IGC for approval.

BC-179 holder type battery charger

The battery charger, BC-179, securely holds and charges the radio, even in bumpy conditions. The cigarette lighter cable, CP-22, can be used with the BC-179.

This new version of our popular IC-A24E is identical to its predecessor but now features 5W output power and 25kHz/8.33kHz dual channel spacing. With this dual compatibility there is an increase in the number of channels available plus using both channel spacing frequencies simultaneously.

Large alphanumeric LCD
An easy to read a 6-character 14-segment alphanumeric LCD displays a variety of information clearly. Both the display and keypad are backlit, which is a very useful feature for use at night time. 

25kHz/8.33kHz dual channel spacing
In addition to the widely used 25kHz channel spacing the IC-A24E/A6E are also compatible with 8.33kHz channel spacing. With this dual compatibility there is an increase in the number of channels available plus using both channel spacing frequencies simultaneously. 

Channel recall function
The new channel recall function automatically memorizes the last 10 used channels. You can easily recall those channels by pushing the recall buttons on the front panel. This makes it very convenient for switching between several channels at a time, such as NAV channels and COM channels.

Simultaneous operation and charge from external power source
The IC-A24E has an external DC power jack that allows operation with the optional CP-20 cigarette lighter cable with DC-DC converter. This means that a battery pack can be simultaneously charged during operation. 

Dedicated 121.5MHz emergency key
A dedicated red emergency key programmed with a 121.5MHz homing frequency is equipped to give you extra confidence in the event of an emergency.

VOR navigation function
The IC-A24E has VOR navigation functions. The DVOR mode shows the radial to (or from) a VOR station and the CDI mode shows the course deviation to (or from) a VOR station. You can also input your intended radial to (or from) a VOR station and show the course deviation on the display.

The IC-A24E/A6E complies with requirements of the European Radio and Telecommunication Terminal Directive 1999/5/EC and is RTTE and CE approved. At present full approval for air use is not attainable for this product or any other product at this level in the market place. AvMap A2 ADAHRS

•    The AvMap A2 ADAHRS is a compact fixed-install moduleproviding Air Data, Attitude and Heading Reference. It connects to the docking station via USB and provides information that are displayed on the EKP V LCD.

The E-1 universal engine monitor combines in one compact 3.125” format instrument all that is needed to monitor the majority of smaller aircraft engines from two-stroke ultra-light engines to medium sized four strokes such as those from Rotax, Continental and Lycoming. The Explorer EFIS introduces a custom developed touch pressure sensitive LCD screenaimed exclusively at the small aircraft application. With the ability to accurately measurecontact force in all conditions, it becomes possible to utilize the user interface advantages of atouch screen even in turbulent flight.

Unlike conventional touch screen technology, MGL's “tap screen” can be used with gloves, iscompletely unaffected by sunlight and even uses a polarized anti reflective and anti glare film.The tap screen uses only high quality optical glass in its construction and thus has nonegative effects on the image quality, even in difficult light conditions. The tap screen isfurther qualified for zero pressure conditions such as experienced in space and is not affectedby sudden, large pressure changes.

Recognizing that some operations can never be fully replaced by a touch screen, the Exploreradds no less than 5 “clickable” rotary controls which assume functions depending on currentneed plus adds conventional, tactile buttons for quick access to often used functionsregardless of what appears on the screen.

The E-3 universal engine monitor combines in one compact 2 1/4” format instrument all that is needed to monitor the majority of smaller aircraft engines from two-stroke ultra-light engines to medium sized four strokes such as those from Rotax, Continental and Lycoming. Most automotive engine conversions can also benefit from the use of the E-3 engine monitor.

The E-3 can measure up to 4 EGT/CHT channels, a RPM input, a universal temperature sender input and a universal pressure sender input.

The unit meets nearly all functions of LX 7007 CB. The most important difference is that the LX 7007  Compact CB doesn't include GPS receiver and also don't offer an IGC approved flight recorder.There is a recorderbuilt in, but it doesn'thave IGC approval.

The format of flight records meets IGC specification and the flights can be therefore evaluated with programs which understand IGC format. As a GPS source an external NMEA signal should be applied.

One 6P telephone type connector for GPS signal input is prepared on the back side of the unit.Suitable pin out makes possible to connect GPS devices which have an IGC standard connector asplug and play solutions. Flarm can be also used as a GPS source. LX Red Box and LX Mini Box offers an effective solution.. 

LX Mini Map II replaces the whole family of LX Mini Map devices.

The focus of the system is Windows CE 5 embedded computer module accompanied by a micro-controller which main task is management of push buttons and rotary switches.

A brilliant 4.3 inch display with touch screen guaranties good readability also under the hardest sunshine conditions. The unit receives 12V power via USB mini type connector. The same way is also used for data link. Data link is serial RS 232 standard, not USB.Touch screen is a standard solution.The program could run from SD card or from internal Flash.

 The unit highlights are: new plastic (ABS) ergonomic housing with two rotary switches and three push buttons. Portrait and also landscape orientation is possible.

The Trig TY92 has a higher power output of 16 watts, suitable for longer range transmission and for aircraft that have a 28 volt power supply. Easily installed out with the main avionics stack the TY92 makes a perfect back up radio in larger GA aircraft.

The control head can be conveniently mounted in a full 57mm round hole or even smaller compact mount.  Fitting is straightforward, and once installed the depth of the radio control head is only 74mm.  In practice this means that the Trig TY91 and TY92 control head can be located in an aircraft instrument panel where a ‘single box’ radio will simply not fit.

The TT31 is TSO approved for fitting to European and FAA registered aircraft. With a new software upgrade and a connection to an appropriate GPS, this will make the TT31 compliant with the FAA final rule on ADS-B Out for 2020.

Revolutionary new 3D Vision technology shows a virtual 3-D behind-the-aircraft perspective of surrounding terrain derived from GPS and the onboard terrain database – a feature previously only available in our panel-mount avionics. Simply slide your finger across the touchscreen to rotate the view and show land and water features, obstacles, runways and airport signposts in relative proximity to the aircraft. Using its forward-looking terrain avoidance capability, aera 795 predicts in advance where towers or obstacles may exist and shades the landscape with amber or red overlays to indicate those areas. 3D Vision and other flight data are presented smoothly and continuously thanks to the device’s internal GPS that provides position updates 5 times per second (5 Hz).

Aera 795’s bright 7" diagonal high-definition sunlight-readable display makes this detailed mapping easy to see in any lighting conditions and works in both portrait and landscape mode. The physical design has been optimized to fit on the yoke or for use as a knee-mounted device. There are only 4 touch keys on the bezel representing "Back", "Menu", "Direct-to" and "Nearest" for quick navigation to the most frequent used functions. All other functions are quickly accessed through Intuitive onscreen icons with labels. This unique touchscreen interface even allows you to quickly pan across the map screen and pinch to zoom.

Aera 795 fullfills the role of either a Class I or Class II electronic flight bag, greatly reducing the need to rely on paper charts in the cockpit. Initial georeferenced VFR sectional and IRF enroute charts come preloaded that show your aircraft’s position overlaid directly on the relevant chart. When in IFR map mode, the 795 can display victor airways, jet routes, minimum enroute altitudes and leg distance, much like what’s found on traditional enroute charts. Initial georeferenced Garmin FliteCharts provide approach charts and airport diagrams for the U.S., while pilots who prefer Jeppesen charts and diagrams can use optional Garmin ChartView service, which utilizes Jeppesen’s extensive library to provide global georeferenced charting capabilities. Aera 795 also includes a robust document viewer, so you can easily pull up weights and balances, flight manuals, raster charts or a wide range of electronically formatted materials you download to the device. A “scratch pad” feature also allows you to quickly jot down clearances and other pertinent notes while in route, while a checklist viewer allows you to create customized and interactive electronic checklists.

Enhance Situational Awareness

Aera 795’s built-in terrain and obstacle database not only shows contours in 3D Vision mode, but also allows for a top-down view of your entire route. To help you navigate around unfamiliar airports, SafeTaxi® provides detailed taxiway diagrams and position information for over 1,000 U.S. airports, while a private airport and heliport database greatly expands your emergency “nearest” options. FBO, ground transportation, lodging and other facility information for most U.S. airports are also available through preloaded AOPA Airport Directory Data; international pilots may choose to opt for global AC-U-KWIK airport directory data instead.

Thanks to its 2 serial ports, aera 795 allows for simultaneous connectivity with other hardware. With an optional Garmin GTX 330 Mode S Transponder Interface, you can access Traffic Information Service (TIS) alerts, where available, right on the device while also sending frequencies to a Garmin SL30/40 radio or relaying position reports to other devices.

By adding optional City Navigator maps, both helicopter and fixed-wing pilots add street addresses as waypoints or direct-to destinations. Built-in VOX / VOGAD Intercom: The V10 features a high quality intercom system (not a ‘hot mic’ - this intercom is really usable as your primary intercom!). The intercom has 2 channels, but can be used in 4-place aircraft by connecting multiple headsets to the passenger channel. There are several modes of operation for the intercom, including VOX options and MGL Avionics’ proprietary VOGAD system. VOGAD (or voice-operated gain-adjusting device) works by adjusting the gain of the microphone as your speak based on the level of your voice. This has the effect of eliminating background/engine noise between your words as you speak and can be used with simple passive headsets to produce the results normally obtained using expensive active noise cancelling headsets. It doesn’t ‘break squelch’ like a VOX intercom - it is activated by your voice and is constantly adjusting to your voice level.

The TM250 is the first air traffic monitoring solution for General Aviation which combines Mode A/C, Mode-S, ADS-B and FLARM detection in one single cockpit device.

The built-in receiver decodes ADS-B transmissions from other aircraft. Their relative position is shown on the display together with their horizontal and vertical direction of movement. This allows an instantaneous capture of the traffic situation. Aircraft equipped with Mode A/C or Mode S transponders not broadcasting ADS-B messages are recognized as well, their approach is signalled both visually and acustically. In this case, however, a depiction of direction, altitude or position of these aircraft is not feasible.

The TM250 includes a built-in GPS receiver and can transmit its position data via an additional serial interface to an ADS-B capable Mode-S transponder. Thus originates a complete ADS-B system which can receive and transmit position data through ADS-B and contributes therefore actively to a safe flight.

Nowadays, numerous glider aircraft are equipped with so-called FLARM systems for collision avoidance. Via a serial interface, an external FLARM receiver can be connected to the TM250 which then allows to indicate the position and movement direction of these airplanes on the display of the TM250. 

If the aircraft does not carry such a FLARM receiver connected to the TM250, other gliders nearby that have a FLARM transmitter are still being detected and indicated on the TM250graphically and acoustically. This is achieved through a non-directed, raw detection of the signal strength of a nearby FLARM transmitter inside the TM250. In this case, however, it is not possible to indicate the direction, altitude or position of such targets. Also, no transmission to other gliders occurs.

This transceiver enables pilots and installations engineers to customize the VHF communication radios in any aircraft. The ideal combination of output power and low cost, provides the best value and operating characteristics for any particular aircraft and mission profile.

The system is ideally suited for installations where minimum panel space ist o be used. It utilizes a small, lightweight CU 5209 control unit, which fits into a standard 2 ¼ \\\" (57mm) round instrument panel cutout, and is only 2 ½ \\\" deep. Special functions accessible via the frontpanel allow to adapt a personal set-up. The lightweight remote transceiver unit, AR 3209-(11) is mated with this control head, to complete the system. It can be installed at any convenient place in the aircraft.

The CU 5209 control unit offers a clear, high contrast double line LCD-display, which is readable under all lighting conditions, even in bright sunlight. Both, active and preset frequencies are displayed, and can be transferred by a single stroke of the \\\"Flip-Flop\\\" button. Up to 20 preset frequencies can be easily entered in channel mode from the front panel, and stored in non volatile memory.

When the power is turned on, a BITE-system automatically checks and monitors various functions of the system, to insure proper operation at all times and facilitate maintenance. All systems will be JTSO certified for either VFR or IFR use in all types of fixed wings and rotary wing aircraft, and comply with the stringent ICAO requirements Annex 10, FM immunity.

For truly compact installations, this transceiver can be combined with other Becker Prime Line equipment, such as NAV/VOR/ILS navigation, ADF, and ATC transponder, which have similar control units, providing a pleasant presentation in the panel. The remote transceiver unit can be controlled by other types of CDU or FMS devices and is ideally suited for use as essential sensor in flight management systems.

The Dynon HS34 is an optional expansion module that extends the HSI function already built into and displayed on Dynon’s EFISs. Expanded HSI Navigation Interface

While all of Dynon's EFIS instruments currently include HSI functionality, full compatibility with some GPS and NAV radios has been limited by the serial connection method.

The HS34 overcomes these restraints by adding ARINC-429, analog, and serial interfaces to cover many popular radios. With the addition of an HS34 to an EFIS, full compatibility is now possible with radios such as the Garmin 430/530. This includes advanced features IFR pilots demand, such as CDI auto-scaling and full vertical guidance information from WAAS-enabled units. The HS34 effectively eliminates the need to install a conventional CDI/GS head.

Superior User Interface

The front panel provides dedicated controls and indicators that optimize the pilot’s control over the HSI. The controls are backlit to facilitate night flight conditions. Separate knobs are used for setting the Heading, the Course (OBS) or entering general purpose Values. Other controls include NAV and Bearing Source buttons that facilitate independent selection over each input. Pilots receive feedback of the currently selected navigation source type from separate GPS and NAV indicator lights.

Compatible Devices

The HS34 is compatible with NAV radios using the industry-standard ARINC-429 or Analog outputs. It's also compatible with Navigation GPSs with either ARINC-429 or RS-232 serial output streaming either NMEA-0183 or Aviation format. The HS34 requires that you have at least an EFIS-D10A, EFIS-D100 or FlightDEK-D180 installed in your plane.

The AP74 Dedicated Autopilot Interface Module adds panel-mounted controls and LED light status indicators to your autopilot. A multi-purpose value knob allows quick adjustment of the BARO setting and the bugs used with the Autopilot. The AP74 adds the abilities to pre-arm which modes will be flown upon autopilot engagement and pre-select the target altitude and heading/track. Additional features include a built-in light level sensor to automatically adjust the screen brightness, and synthetic voice alerts when connected to an auxiliary input on your intercom.

The AvMap EKP IV is a portable navigation systems for the aeronautical market. EKP features a 7" color LCD display, brilliant and sunlight-viewable, batteries sold separately.

Thanks to the new menu keys that strategically positioned along the sides of the case, the unit can operate in Portrait and Landscape mode. You can customize the layout choosing to view the full map or split HSI screen with data fields.

EKP IV utilizes a 512 MB Compact Flash memory card (CF) preloaded with software and maps. The cartography includes the Jeppesen data (for Europe + Africa; Americas; Asia + Australia depending on the version, Low Airways (a.k.a. Victor Airways), and private airports for North America.

The EKP IV Pro may be connected directly to Telefix, a localization system for fleet management and or Kenwood APRS (Automatic Position Reporting System) . By means of these systems it is possible to send ones own position to a remote control center. From the control center it is possible to receive waypoints that are automatically displayed on the EKP IV Pro Screen.

The TT21 is a two part transponder system, which includes an integrated altitude encoder. In design and technology the TT21 is identical to the TT22; the only difference is that the transmitted output power of the TT21 is lower, qualifying the unit as a Class 2 transponder. Class 2 transponders may be used on aircraft cruising slower than 175 knots, and operating below 15,000 feet, IFR or VFR.

The front panel controller is smaller than a standard instrument, and the remote transponder is not much bigger than a pack of cards. The TT21 can fit into the smallest of aircraft – and yet it is fully certified and compliant with all the transponder requirements.

The TT22 system is our smallest, lightest, Mode S general aviation transponder. The unit provides the required 25 ft. altitude resolution. The TRT800H OLED may be used up to 35,000 ft. actual operating altitude (not to be confused with maximum operating altitude) and a maximum true airspeed of 250 kt (463km/h).

The Funkwerk ATR833 is a complete solution for radios in small aircraft with the new channel separation of 8.33 kHz. The channel spacing can be switched between 25kHz and 8,33kHz.

The built-in vox controlled intercom operates up to 4 microphones (2 standard, 2 dynamic). In many cases no extra intercom is required. This saves cost and weight. All headsets are separately adjustable. Using similar headsets a 4-place intercom can be built-up.

In addition to the standard functions there are 2 memories available. All frequencies of European airfields are preprogrammed and can be easily updated. More the user can define up to 100 named frequencies to build up an own database. All stored frequencies can be searched by name.

The Funkwerk ATR833A is a VHF radio in 160 mm format with the new channel separation of 8.33 kHz. The channel spacing can be switched between 25 kHz and 8.33 kHz.

The built-in voice controlled intercom operates up to 4 microphones (2 standard, 2 dynamic). In many cases no extra intercom is required. This saves cost and weight. All headsets are separately adjustable. Using similar headsets a 4-place intercom can be built-up.

When panel space is at a premium, the Garmin SL40 VHF comm transceiver combines a lot of capability in a surprisingly small package.

It’s an all-purpose, high-performance unit packed with innovative features not found on competitive units. In its space-having 1.3 x 6.25-inch design, the SL40 incorporates such pilot-friendly features as active and standby flip-flop frequency tuning, direct sunlight-readable alphanumeric display, a two-place intercom, and more.

The SL40's frequency-monitoring function gives you the ability to monitor ATIS or the 121.5 emergency frequency without leaving your assigned ATC channel. This allows you to listen to standby frequencies while giving priority to the active channel, meaning you'll never miss a transmission.

The Garmin SL30 is designed to offer complete navigation and communication capabilities in an integrated slimline package.

Combining powerful 760 channel VHF communications with 200 channel VOR, glideslope and localiser receivers, the SL30 provides a full-functioned navigation and communications solution in a small footprint at a very reasonable price.

Besides traditional nav/comm features, the SL30 also incorporates workload reducing functions such as automatic decoding of morse code station identifier for VOR/LOC/ILS, most used frequency in memory built in course deviation indicator and more.

With the introduction of the Garmin GTX 328 solid-state Mode S digital transponder, GARMIN enables VFR/Class 2 aircraft to meet the reduced certification requirements for the VFR Mode S mandate.

The GTX 328 is also IFR certified for aircraft operating under 15,000 feet and with a true airspeed of under 175 knots.

The GTX328 has many of the features of the GTX330 Mode S transponder, including outside air temperature, count up/down timers, altitude monitoring, density altitude functions, flight ID input and has a digitised voice output for pilot warning of altitude limits or timer expiration.

The Garmin GTX 330 / 330D (diversity) transponders meet the European Mode-S mandate and provide the US market with datalink expandability, including enabled services such as ADS-B and local traffic updates.

These full featured TSO certified transponders bring a unique level of functionality and utility to an aeroplane. The Icom IC-A110 is a rugged and reliable, setting a new standard for ground based communications, the IC-A110 Euro provides durability and reliability in demanding operational environments.

Easy channel selection

It’s fast and easy to select any of memory channels in the IC-A210E. The “flip-flop” arrow button switches between main and stand-by channels. GPS memory function

The AR 4201 VHF-AM transceiver has, for decades, been the very synonym for reliability. More than 18.000 units have been sold over the last 20 years. The unit has proven to be a trustworthy companion for thousands of pilots flying millions of flight-hours.

For many it will be difficult to acknowledge that this legendary radio is becoming technical history. But there is good news. Becker Avionics International has launched a successor that represents a quantum leap forward in performance, technical sophistication and robustness. The AR6201 VHF-AM transceiver is smaller and lighter than its forerunner due to implementation of state-of-art DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology.

It is mountable in the 2¼ inch standard instrument panel recess and is equipped with a highly efficient AM transmitter, a very sensitive receiver and a full graphic LC-display that allows for easy reading under all light conditions, including full sun. Push button and display illumination can be dimmed. The AR6201 is, of course, prepared for 8.33 kHz spacing that will become the new international standard for airborne communication.

Switching between the 8.33 and the 25 kHz mode is therefore made effortlessly simple. Standard or dynamic microphones can be used. A built-in-test facility increases flight safety. The dual watch mode that allows scanning of two different channels is an extra feature.

The RV-3 universal engine RPM and rotor RPM unit is a 3 1/8” instrument providing a universal RPM counter that can be adapted to a variety of roles. Typical uses are engine RPM displays or helicopter and gyroplane rotor RPM displays.

The TC-1 can be configured to group EGTs/CHTs to common settings or each thermocouple channel can be independently setup for temperature ranges as well as alarms and probe types.

The TC-1’s high accuracy is due to its built in thermocouple linearization curves and cold junction compensation techniques. Temperature probes can be common K, J or E type thermocouple probes as used in CHT or EGT sensors. The TC-3 thermocouple display unit is a 12 channel 3 1/8” instrument that contains all the features necessary to monitor EGT’s and CHT’s. The TC3 can be configured to display up to 12 thermocouples in an easy to read bargraph format.

The TC-3’s high accuracy is due to it’s built in thermocouple linearization curves and cold junction compensation techniques. Common J, K or E type thermocouple probes are supported. 

In addition the TC3 has an individual programmable EGT and CHT alarm with an external output that can switch an external visual alarm indicator such as a lamp. Maximum temperature for each thermocouple is recorded in permanent memory and is also indicated by a solid line above that thermocouples bar graph.

The TC3 also features a built in engine leaning facility which allows the pilot to optimize the fuel mixture according to peak EGT temperatures as well as a cruise mode facility to provide instant identification of changing EGT/CHT trends.

Temperatures can be displayed in degrees Celsius or degrees Fahrenheit from -100ºC to 1200ºC (-148ºF to 2192ºF).

Winter digital flight hours counter.

The flying hours counter has an electrically driven counter mechanism and the readings are in hours and minutes. It is connected to the aircraft's total pressure sensor and automatically switches on when airspeed increases to 60 km/h. This ensures that actual flying time only is recorded, while secondary times for take off and landing are ignored.

The counter uses an operating voltage of 12 - 24 V, incl. T-connection. The consumption is appr. 2 - 4 mA. Once installed, the plug can be sealed to prevent tampering.

The BAT-1 is a 2 1/4” instrument used to monitor your aircrafts battery power supply. It can be used on lead-acid, NiCad batteries as well as gel cells. This instrument is very useful in determining your battery’s health, charging status, as well as the current load consumption of your aircraft.

The BAT-1 can be used in both 12V and 24V aircraft and can measure voltages up to 30V DC. The BAT-1 uses a standard 50 mV shunt to measure the current making the unit capable of measuring currents from 5A to 500A.The instrument contains a programmable low/high voltage alarm to automatically detect bad batteries and alternator failures.

The TP-1 is a 2 1/4” dual channel temperature/pressure gauge with universal inputs that can interface to many sensors such as oil temperature, coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel pressure, manifold pressure, boost pressure and many more.

The TP-1 gauge can be setup for a single, dual or combination temperature / pressure display.

Temperature can be measured using standard automotive resistive senders (e.g. VDO) as well as the MGL Avionics precision LM335 semiconductor sensor. Pressure can be measured using standard automotive resistive senders (e.g. VDO), Rotax 4-20mA senders as well as 0-5V output pressure senders (e.g. UMA). In addition the temperature and pressure inputs can be programmed to a user defined curve for custom senders.

Both the temperature and pressure readings have a programmable low and high alarm. This results in a contact closure that is typically used to switch a warning lamp on. The TP-1 also records the maximum temperature and pressure values reached in permanent memory.

The MAP-1 is a 2 1/4” instrument which can measure pressures in the range of 0.25 bars (3.6 PSI) to 2.5 bars (36.2 PSI) as well as simultaneously display RPM from a universal RPM input.

Pressure can be displayed in millibar, bar, PSI, kg/cm2, inches of Mercury, millimeters of Mercury, kilopascal (KPA) or atmospheres. The pressure display is also available in the form of an analog bar graph with user selectable sensitivity if the RPM input is not needed. The MAP-1 is primarily intended as a manifold pressure gauge, however, due to the universal nature of this accurate instrument it can be used for many other applications as well.

In addition the MAP-1 provides a 24 entry automatic flight log that stores the duration of each of the last 24 flights. It also has a Hobbs meter (can be set to the current engine time) which is password protected, an engine running timer/flight timer and a programmable maintenance timer to schedule routine engine maintenance.

The MAP-1 also features a programmable low/high alarm for pressure as well as for RPM and it also records the maximum Pressure and RPM reached in permanent memory.

The ASI-1 airspeed indicator is a 2.25” instrument that provides a wide range airspeed indication in both digital and analog formats. Airspeed is based on the pressure generated by a pitot tube system and a static port is provided as well for use by high speed aircraft. In addition, the ASI-1 provides a 24 entry automatic flight log that stores the duration of each of the last 24 flights, an air-distance trip counter and a current flight timer.

Airspeed can be indicated in statute miles per hour (mph), kilometers per hour (km/h) or nautical miles per hour (knots) with the air-distance being displayed in corresponding units. The analog airspeed display can be scaled according to the aircraft’s flying speed range and markers for Vs, Vf, Vno and Vne can be set.

ASI sensitivity can be calibrated by the user to cater for errors caused by pitot tube placement. The ASI-1 instrument measures airspeed from 16mph to 250mph and is well suited to slower aircraft due to very good sensitivity and linearity at low air speeds.

The altimeter includes an encoding serial output that, when used in combination with MGL Avionics CNV-AT, provides a parallel Gillham code interface for transponders. The altimeter can display altitude in feet or meters. Local pressure can be set in millibars or inches or mercury.
